If you have recently faced a loss or bereavement we are deeply sorry. We do all we can to support families at the end of a loved ones’ life.
We work closely with many of our local funeral directors. You may like to go through them to either organise a service in the benefice, or a minister for a service at the crematorium. However, if you have any questions about the service itself, or options for the day, do feel free to contact Revd Joy (email@example.com) and we will do all that we can to help.
We also hold regular services in memory of loved ones, an annual service of bereavement, and offer pastoral and bereavement care to those in need. For more information on funerals and other services of remembrance in the Church of England do look at: https://www.churchofengland.org/life-
We welcome enquiries for weddings at St Mary’s, St Paul’s and St Arilda’s, Oldbury. Please do get in touch if you would like to celebrate your special day with us. There are legal requirements for qualifying for marriage in the benefice, but we are happy to explore options and support you in your planning in any way we can.
For support and advice on getting married in the Church of England we warmly recommend taking a look at https://www.yourchurchwedding.org This is a great site for looking up ideas for music, readings, prayers and all the details of the service itself. It also has really handy FAQs on all the legal requirements you will need to know. This includes all the details about qualifying connections, the reading of banns, and information on marrying in church after divorce.
For enquiries about dates, the service itself, or any concerns you might have about the legal arrangements please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our vicar – Revd Joy Ludlow (firstname.lastname@example.org)
For enquiries about the details of the day (finances and fees, bellringers, florists etc.) feel free to get in touch with our benefice office (email@example.com)
